I've been bad.
I was supposed to go get a blood draw on June 1.
I didn't.
Last Friday morning I got an email reminder.
Friday afternoon it was a text.
This morning it was a phone call.
My primary care provider is persistent.
I couldn't resist the caring and encouraging voice reminding me to take care of myself so I can keep taking care of my family.
So I changed into my going to town jeans and embroidered jacked and drove to the clinic.
I confessed that I didn't fast but they said no problem.
It wasn't that bad.
She said that they had a courier coming to pick the sample up to process before my appointment on Wednesday.
I expect that the ice cream and blueberry cobbler will sink my chances at a good cholesterol number.
Darn.
Everytime I promise I'll be good for the rest of my life I have my fingers crossed behind my back.
