I'd say the mobile train has left for Microsoft. They neither have the studios nor the IP for ultra-microtransaction games. Better get A, B, and indie games to keep pushing Game Pass.
The thing is, if Microsoft Games keeps the quality of the Game Pass games up, it wouldn't matter that Valve works on Linux. Game Pass works much better on Windows, and Steam can only reach parity.
Alas, they have to think of the "short-term margin."
