Everybody wants quick changes nowadays. They all seek sophisticated gambles to get rich quick. They jump from one relationship to the next one like they're flipping cards. They talk fast but say not much. They travel all around the world to avoid the fact that they have no home.

Nothing good comes to life without commitment and patience. "Talented people" have been dedicated to their craft for several decades. "Smart people" have simply always been curious. People with a loving family and genuine friends have simply always genuinely cared.

The wealthiest life you could live in the broadest sense starts emerging once you stop looking for shortcuts, start being honest with yourself about who you truly want to be, gather the courage to pay the price, and start walking the journey without flip flopping every few years.

People in their twenties or thirties who "have it all" simply had the self-awareness to start their journey as a kid, enough focus to not get distracted by the lives of others, and enough courage to not give up despite their mind giving them every possible excuse to do so.

Most people never get the chance to hang out with top musicians, athletes, engineers, artists; they would otherwise realize that a lot of "talent" is about starting at age four with relentless discipline and passionate curiosity, and still being at it several decades later.
