You'll recall that Moore's Law was the observation that the number of transistors on a microchip would double every two years rendering computer power with cheaper & smaller (physically);

now Tomasz Tunguz (a venture capitalist) & Andreessen Horowitz, have observed that the amount of machine intelligence that can be purchased for a dollar is growing at around 10x per year.... how long this will last of course is anyone's guest.

But for now AI looks to be accelerating
