We planted an entire dye garden this year (and a DIE one as well, but that's a different post) and a couple of "surprise" fleeces kicked off the experiments.

Pretty though it is, there's much practice to be done to get the deep color you'd probably associate with the term indigo.

Fun fact - the color is completely different when working it - it oxidizes from "pesto" to the bluish shade shown in the picture before.
