I have experienced this, in developed countries the state has replaced the family. therefore they dont need to be kind to each other, and expect a person to seek help from the state indeed first instead of bothering them. in the UK we have lot of immigrant families and they actually treat each other like humans, maybe like people did back in the 50/60s here? ie. talking to each other in the street and kids playing outside
