Yes fear has made a lot of people wealthy. There will ALWAYS be individuals that capitalize on somebody else’s suffering or fear of suffering. Good or bad governance isn’t going to change this. This is an inherent problem in the nature of man. But to take an instance, like governing agencies arresting somebody for conspiring to commit terrorism, and point towards the belief that nothing bad would happen if the US government sat on their hands, is asinine.
