Confession/lab hack-
I barely wash my western blots after removing the primary antibody. Just three very quick rinses.
We also reuse the secondary, so our reused secondary is contaminated with primary from the prior uses (😱 ).
But fear not, we label each diluted secondary with the primary it should be used with, so we don't get cross-reactivity.
