In a blow for the UK's image of itself as a global power, with global responsibilities & influence, the foreign aid (FA) budget (some is being redirected towards defence) is dropping by 27% in 2026/27 compared with 2024/35, while the US FA is only dropping by 23% across the same period.
Given the criticism levelled at the Tangerine Tyrant for withdrawing from the global system (where the aid budget is a key indicator), looks like the UK cannot really criticise!
