By the way, one does not need to master every single possible artistic aspect of filmmaking to create a film that is very much worth watching & enjoying, but I think Nolan's stature & very lengthy critically & financially successful career make it reasonable to scrutinize him closely.
I am being critical of Nolan in a way I simply *would not be* of a smaller filmmaker.
