We don't, but we do have estimates and we ultimately know it cannot be infinite, by nature of the fact that we live on a single planet. I just mean that gold has had universal value since the dawn of mankind, and it always will. Like I said, definitely not as practical or portable as Bitcoin but it doesn't hurt to diversify your investments in proven ways like that.
