Y'all deserve so much better. Is low contact/no contact an option for you?
My struggle with people like this is they're not just disrespecting me - they'll actually never be capable of seeing me for the person I am.
Yes, it takes time to adjust and figure it all out. But when someone is still deadnaming/misgendering you after 2, 3, 5, whatever years, you're at a point where you know that person just isn't seeing you for the person you actually are. And they're insisting on hanging on to someone you're not. And for me, that hurts. I don't want to be around people who look at me and see a boy - bc that's how we end up with perpetuity of things like "trans women shouldn't be in women's spaces."
