RBTC on Rootstock with a zk-Snarks contract is operating a fucking mixer. The author even titles is “Rootstock ZK Privacy Mixer.” And so far courts have said that is an overt act of money laundering.

Monero is not a mixer! when you send Monero, your funds are not mixing into an account or a contract with potentially tainted funds. They are merely existing on the same blockchain. If this were illegal, if this were money laundering, Bitcoin would also be illegal. I don’t know how many times I have to reiterate this. Mixers are illegal. You might not think so, but courts have disagreed strongly. Monero does not operate as a mixer, at all. It is logistically completely different. It is not mixing funds, it is trying to attain fungibility.

It might not make sense to you that Monero being completely legal and “private RBTC” via a ZK mixer is illegal, but not being a federal crime generally might make one better than the other.

Finally, it makes more sense because it was in line with Satoshi’s vision. Satoshi was saying in August of 2010 in regards to a discussing involving ring signatures, “This is a very interesting topic. If a solution was found, a much better, easier, more convenient implementation of Bitcoin would be possible”:

and if Bitcoin had not been ossified and hijacked by schemers and faggots like Saylor, he would have definitely integrated Monero’s achievements into Bitcoin. Unfortunately, Monero is what became that much better, easier, more convenient implementation of Bitcoin. It achieved the actual vision of a useful and fungible currency that Satoshi was aiming for. I would *prefer* this currency to be Bitcoin, because Bitcoin not being useful lowers the value of the entire cryptocurrency system. When Bitcoin collapses, it will always cast a shade over the value of every subsequent attempt at blockchain money, because there will be the argument that every subsequent thing might be replaced with a more useful technology. And that’s a tragedy for everyone. But you people are ruining Bitcoin, and I don’t see how we’re going to recover from what you did to Satoshi’s legacy.
