If I were a conspiracy theorist, I’d say NVK is a state actor who intentionally put a backdoor in #COLDCARD so people would lose their coins, then pushed a firmware update that bricked their devices and shattered their trust in self-custody and those who promote it.

Convincing ordinary people that holding their own Bitcoin is too dangerous, driving them back onto regulated exchanges, and making “not your keys, not your coins” sound like reckless extremist advice.

Turning sovereign money into another asset held by custodians, where it can be monitored, frozen, rugged, and confiscated.

…but I’m not a conspiracy theorist who connects speculative dots just to farm engagement and make people more paranoid than they need to be.
