Shortly after I was born, my mother's grandmother grew I'll and died. Just b4 she died she gave my mother a rocking chair that had belonged to her mother. She told my mother that her mother had rocked her in it when she was a baby and that she in turn had rocked my grandmother and my mother in it when they were babies. She made my mother promise to never get rid of it, but to pass it on. The problem was that the cane was shot and it was missing a small piece. 1/2
