My great-grandfather escaped from here (Naples, Italy) just after the first world war started.
He was only 14 years old.
He left alone, with no money, no possessions, only hope for a better life.
He had to convince the crew of a steamboat to let him work on the boat despite his age.
It took 90 days to arrive in Argentina without knowing how to speak Spanish.
He got to work the land and start a family, he had 14 children, among them my grandfather, who worked on the railroads most of his life.
