(I myself was the victim of a hacking attempt here on Nostr, when a man offered me a job but tried to get me to download malware.)

Every time I try to open my heart to open inboxes where anyone can send messages without pre-approval, I am reminded how broken that system is. At the very least the "message request" UX should be enforced to increase the friction and force users to be vigilant with first introductions.
