It goes to your inbox relays but not as DMs because mails are most of the times HTML documents so what looks like regular text to you will look like gibberish HTML when received on your apps. If those apps support rendering emails it will work automatically but sending emails to DM inbox is extremely bad ux. If you want you can checkout pollerama where we do show you email text as message and you'll see how bad it is 😅
