I know I‘ve used AAC (without knowing it by that name) as a refactory material, back before one could order ceramic wool and have it delivered the next day. It worked well enough for a while, and it was free discards from a church renovation so it cost me nothing. But this UK crisis being AAC is news to me; interesting.
