"content": "Good morning. 🌺🌺🌺\n\n27 April 2025\n\nI stopped going to the gym around the age of 62. Until then, I had tried to stay in good shape—old habits from my years in the Army. Leading up to that, I faced two health setbacks that knocked me off my horse, so to speak, and after the second one, COVID hit. Returning to the gym didn’t seem like a good idea at the time, and I never went back. These days, my new martial art is atrophy—California style. You might wonder if there’s a point to all this, and there is. Before I stopped going to the gym, I often caught minor viruses or dealt with a nagging cough. Interestingly, that pattern disappeared when I stopped going. In hindsight, gyms now feel like petri dishes to me.\n\n\"We are what we repeatedly do.
