We had video calls almost every day for multiple hours. We only dated a total of 68 days and he was officially my boyfriend for 6 before upgrading to fiance 😎 we had run out of reasons not to get married, cause we're both intense and self aware people who shared all our secrets, hubby even kinda trying to scare me away with his honesty! But that just mean t I knew exactly what I was getting into!
I was more nervous crossing the border cause the time before that the customs patrols dude had questioned me pretty harshly and pointed out he didn't have to let me in, and that he was keeping a record of our interaction (or something)!
When I got to border check that time, the guy seemed hesitant when he looked at his screen and then told me my passport would be stamped in a different room! Interestingly enough, I felt way more at peace going in there than talking to that guy! And I knew that could mean I couldn't enter.
He asked me some questions, it was a kind white younger man, and I said I was getting married and then bringing my husband with me back to Sweden. He asked for an invitation and I just started for a moment but he thought I didn't understand what he asked for, but in reality we hadn't used invites cause it was 2021 and only his parents and 3 friends were attending in person, but I'd made a funny invite that we played around editing with the date and time so I pulled that up and he was satisfied! 😅 then I got to enter the US and feeling relieved I also felt a tiny bit nervous seeing my now husband in person for the first time, but when I walked up to him, it felt so natural! Only awkward part was as we walked towards the car and our elbows kinda bumped and I made a decision to grab his arm with mine, cause we were getting married the next day anyways! And then a tiny bit of nerves getting into the car, but he was just as much of a gentleman as he had appeared in video, and our first kiss was after the I do's cause we didn't even need to wait 24h, so why not?! It was my hubby's suggestion even! 🥰🤗😎
