🇬🇧 #UK - 🇷🇺 #Russia: A Russian Navy warship fired "warning shots" towards a British yacht owned by a retired couple while it was sailing through the English Channel south of the Isle of Wight yesterday.
The incident involved the Russian frigate Admiral Grigorovich. According to both British and Russian authorities, the yacht approached within close range of the warship before warning shots were fired.
Meanwhile, British PM Keir Starmer later described the incident as "deeply concerning and reckless", while stating that the UK faces Russian provocations and hostile activities on a regular basis. No injuries were reported during the incident.
