Rereading Pedagogy of the Oppressed because so many of my zoomer classmates basically cannot read & this was not an accident. It’s not like we forgot how literacy education works. It was aggressively defunded. Generations of people haven’t gone into public teaching because the pay & working conditions kinda suck. The so-called “No Child Left Behind” Act really fucked this country up.
