instead of trumpeting doomed attempts at preventing small boat crossings, there is nothing stopping the government having a campaign highlighting how migrants, refugees or not, are an asset to this country and a misplaced target of anger. Explain how immigrants have lower rates of offending than the British born, and higher rates of employment. Just off the top of my head I know people who came here as refugees and are now CSO, doctors, civil servants, engineers…
