optimism blockchain is just for registering a userid, it doesn't incur an ongoing cost. I think the limits on posts on farcaster, if you exceed it it just drops your oldest posts and lets you keep posting. if you want to retain more you can pay, which is reasonable, especially considering it costs a lot less than my hosting costs running SPW
