#WritersCoffeeClub June 5: What climes/climates feature in your work? Why those?
I guess piggybacking my last post, temperate, mostly, if only because it's easy to move around in and make interesting. A lot of fantasy is temperate and when it's all around you, that just feels normal.
I can and do write other things. *Pioneer Hearts* is probably most like Arizona and Arizona isn't too far off from every western in the California desert. I've seen the Grand Canyon and I think everyone should at least once, because no photo will ever capture that. You may as well do Old Tuscon while you're around. And the Phoenix mall is fantastic. The GameWorks there had a sort of proto-VR setup where you stood in a ring of light to punch and kick to play *Tekken*. Also a glorious rock shop.
Uh, haven't written about all that, though. Just the desert stuff. XD
