#WritersCoffeeClub May 25: Share a late-stage change you made to a work.
For *First Fantasy*, there was a battle sequence I'd really hoped I'd be able to work in, but after never really having the event happen for real, I ended up just sort of accepting it wasn't going to happen and would just be cut content. But then I realized it would work really well as a dream sequence leading up to a certain place where a certain power might be a little stronger, foreshadowing something much later much better, so a dream sequence it became and while it's not exactly as I envisioned it, in some ways, it's better. I'd be lying if I said I was completely happy with not having the original idea in, but I can't really have both and the one that's in works. And is even kind of beautiful in a way the first idea isn't.
