TVs only existed because the upper class wanted to brainrot the populace. Early advocates of it were slavering over the notion of getting a TV in every house. Not that people would want it, but what they could do if they could make it happen. TV, with moderation and mindfulness, is a movie theater.
I'm divided about the usefulness of pocket computers, but yes if you do them with moderation and mindfulness, you get a land line phone (maybe), and a calculator. Everything else that defines a smartphone, location tracking, constant communication, vidya, and yet more TV would have to go.
