Cross platform complexity and remote workflows are IMHO both (good and valid) reasons. What surprises me the most is that we went straight to TUIs, but mostly skipped web UIs.
I’ve build a web interface for my own coding agents and it does everything the TUI does but is far more usable on mobile.
