You know my grand dad told me a story not long ago. He recalls he was walking down the street one day and saw a girl. (He was born in the 30s so this would've been maybe 40s or 50s). She was wearing jeans. My grand dad and his friend he was with were in disbelief. Back then this was unusual and was viewed as a form a cross dressing. He told me there were other people on the street too who were visibly confused.
