There is a conversation that deeply unsettles big tech CEOs: accountability. When an algorithm makes a mistake that ruins a life, who is responsible? The programmer who wrote a line of code? The biased dataset? The company that prioritized speed over safety? The reality is that we have created a system of diffuse responsibility where no one is guilty but everyone is a victim.
