You're stuck in a rut where Bitcoin's UX for p2p money is absolutely atrocious and not going to be improved any time soon. Bitcoin used to fix problems and incrementally improve: segwit and taproot being the most notable examples. Now people like you have no ability to discern clear improvements in line with Bitcoin's past history of improving. Michael Saylor is relevant here because he wants to ossify and is playing a role in Bitcoin ossifying. It's sad to see.
Covenants are obviously fine. Start there. If Bitcoin doesn't improvd the p2p money UX case, it's just going to remain mostly a speculative instrument for now Wall Street.
