After climbing up steep slabs of rock during the ascent on last week’s hike in the White Mountains, NH, I was greeted with an expansive field of boulders through which I traversed —- over two miles (3+ km) of boulders like this. Made for slow going. This mountain (Mt Washington) is nicknamed “the rock pile” for good reason! #FootpathFriday #hiking #mountains
