Yeah there's a lack of awareness of your natural rights as a sentient being. You don't need permission to exercise your natural rights over your own property.

The immediate questioning of your own legitimacy to use your own property (even your own body) as you wish, is a big psyop. I don't understand it because I've always found it hard to ask permission, let alone for using my own property.

I think we've been instilled with a fear of being responsible for anything. Without the will to accept responsibility, there's little hope humans will take back their own innate power. As freedom orientated individuals, we can't do this for them. We can only lead by example & show them an alternative course of action. We have to respect their sovereignty, even if they do not.
