Physicist Matthew Buckley's take on "data centers in spaaaaaaaaaace" is less optimistic: "The guys building porn-and-scams AI in league with censorious far right theocrats know exactly what they’re doing, but it’s more fun for them and for their fanboys if they pretend that they’re building the AI space utopia. Datacenters in space sounds like a step in that direction, even if none of it maths out"
