"content": "Milky Aurora Shower\n\n\n\nThis composite was taken during the Perseid shower, which coincided with a spectacular auroral display. The aurora and foreground are from one photo and the Milky Way was stacked from many images of the same series using #Siril. 12 (barely visible) meteorites, that were photographed in the same scene, were (roughly) registered onto the composite. Compositing was done in #GIMP, RAW processing of the aurora and the meteorites was done in #Darktable.\n\n\n\nThe greatest challenge was compositing the aurora on top of the stacked Milky Way.
