I understand your point about protecting our borders and resources, and the very real wage pressures you mention. But my point is that economics is not a zero-sum game. Wealth is created through innovation and free markets, not just distributed from a fixed global pie.

True compassion and strategic policy should focus on exporting liberty, property rights, and free enterprise to developing nations. If we want to lead the world, we must build it up, not just wall ourselves off. Strengthening our own industrial policy and enforcing borders are not mutually exclusive.
