Some first responders freaked out and couldn't believe us when we said we'd made a good decision for our son even though they checked him out and he was fine, and I said we'd never do it again, they needed us to agree with them and we'll never agree with them cause we see nuance not categories, so they arrested my husband and I. Hubby knew his parents phone numbers so he called them 2 states away at like 3am but the sound was so bad his dad turned it off, but somehow he was able to leave a voice mail his dad saw in the morning and heard something about "arrested, come get John".
They went into action, they got the case moved from the Valley to our rural county, they brought a motorhome, and filed for temporary custody, and then came and bailed us out.
It started around midnight, we were in one jail for about 24h, and in the evening someone came to me and gave me a piece of paper with my in-laws number and showed me how to use the phone that apparently was in the cell. That was the first I'd heard from anyone I knew!
Then late at night they transferred me to a different jail. The lady officer who came and told me was incredibly rude and told me to "get my shit and come" and I thought, "you mean the shit you gave me?" (I only had the papers from the court hearing that morning where they told me what I was in for and that I claimed Not Guilty)
They put handcuffs and a chain around my ankles but the chain fell off of one of my ankles which I found kind of funny, cause I remember the bible.
Then I was put in a smaller vehicle with 3-4 seats lengthways with a wall in the center and then some guys were put on the other side, and then apparently someone was also put in front of us, seemingly forward facing.
Someone was talking and then asked a question and I heard my husbands voice for the first time in almost 24h! (We've never been apart that long since we got married!)
Then we went through processing for over 12 hours, from station to station, men and women in separate seating sections but the same room, and eventually we were able to talk.
Oh, and they put us in black and white striped clothing like the cartoon villains so I looked around for the bars to saw our way out from but didn't see them.
It felt so surreal or like we were in a movie, cause I've never even been in trouble with my parents so that was NOT exactly my scene 😅
I moved through processing with some younger ladies who'd need through it before and would randomly share what was next which was great cause it reduced the shock for when it did happen.
Then eventually I was put on one of those school bus looking transfers with the single compartments in front and rows in the back. We ladies were in the back, and thru put some men in the cubes up front.
I half expected someone to try to break us out of there cause that's the only time I've ever seen one of those!
Then I got to a room with maybe 100 bunk beds filled with 200 women!
I was there from after lunch to about midnight when I was woken up and told to get my things I was getting released.
At past 3am I walked outside with a dead phone and 4 dudes (they let 5 people out at a time) so I wasn't about to ask them for a call, cause who knows what they were in for 😅
But then I spotted my in-laws motorhome and walked over there and knocked on the door saying my name because I know it's no fun getting women up from a knock, but apparently they didn't hear me and thought it was a cop.
Then past 7am my hubby was released.
This was going into he 30th, and then on the 2nd I had a court hearing where I got my "no direct or indirect contact with the victim" changed so I got to see our son the next day Wednesday and then Friday my in-laws and I picked him up, but hubby's lawyer file the motion until a week ago Monday and this Tuesday it was changed so he could finally see him.
I could go to my in-laws and see him as much as I wanted this whole time, (minus the first 9 days before they got him) but my husband missed almost 4 weeks!
But good news, the case worker for DCS (or CPS in other states) filed for us to get custody back yesterday because after meeting us, after I've been having supervised visits with them 2x2h per week, and she has NOTHING on me, even wondering why she's there, there is no reason for us to not have our son back.
Which will be great for the criminal charges because if I get convicted with the charge they first tried to leave in the plea, I'd get kicked out of the country due to immigration violation! Plus, we are innocent!
So, my lawyer will probably be able to negotiate for all the charges to be dropped, cause if they wanted punishment, we've already been through that, plus, who it would harm would be our son, whom they claim they would be trying to protect!

He had his first cold when he was gone and taken to a hospital where they gave him amoxicillin which totally messed up his gut and he screamed in pain for hours for the first two night! And they've only ever said he had a cold 😠 I forgive them!

At least he's been getting a ton of time with his grandparents and they absolutely love him. He's such an amazing baby! He's usually happy, only cries if there is an actual need that wasn't met when he started fussing (which is when I've been meeting them unless he only gave me 0.5 seconds and I was doing something 😅)

So, yeah, that's what we've been through for the last month!
Gold told me in the beginning that it was just the enemy pretending to be a big roaring lion, but he has no power.
Then God also shared that anyone who would be opposed to us would look like a fool. I don't think like that, so I was taken aback at first but then remember how Jesus talked bluntly to the Pharisees, so I know it was God.
And God has been fighting for us the whole time!
And God told me that the foster family he was with for a week, who seem to have been Christian, it wasn't our son who was getting blessed by being there, it was God blessing them for letting them meet our son. It was the only family they could find in both counties it sounded like, so God was definitely picking who he was with!

But soon he will finally get to come home with us without a chaperone 🥰 and this whole mess will be over!

And suddenly Wyoming sounds like an amazing State to live in, with both people and government being pro personal responsibility!
In Arizona a lot of the people are "live and let live", but not the government!
