Siglent always seemed to have a good reputation from the people I knew. Im sure they all have their issues at this point. It's not the fact that it failed, everything is software defined now, I'd expect them all to have an issue eventually.
It's that I can't repair it myself, nor are there options to get it repaired by the OEM. And even a $600-700 machine isn't worth it for a repair market. Especially since mfgs attack people who release the working firmware.
there is one poor soul on the EEV Blog forums who appears to work for siglent US who quietly distributes the firmware packages and asks people to keep quiet. It's been like 10 years this guy still appears to do it for free.
