It’s not just about messy code, is it? #AI generates illusion of progress. Speed is prioritized over comprehension so "going fast" and doing more becomes a trap. The hype isn’t rooted in technical achievement of the type claimed. It’s not artificial intelligence, I think we can all agree that’s self serving corporate narrative. And even though these tools have their place and are useful, the very hype is pushing decision-makers to replace humans across entire domains. This is catastrophic beyond cognitive debt in a crappy pile of code. It’s unchecked surrender of understanding, control, and the ability to reason about everything possibly. Oh wait. Isn’t this exactly what the nerd reich wants? I think we should tone down the fanboyism and always remind ourselves the hidden and self evident costs of this technology.
