If you haven't read it, Mastering the Lightning Network was a good read to really understand a good chunk of the system. First half is the how to, second is the how it works. There's even super easy docker stuff if you wanna get going quick but if I know you you're gonna be slow and methodical.
Lightning Terminal is very useful for managing a node in any case.
