could be mains interference actually
not many good ways to test this but if you have anything connected via ethernet that's on a different wall socket, try unplugging that and see if the problem persists
personally i've not had bad experiences with fritzbox wifi except the fact that it stops sending packets when anything does multicast streaming over ethernet (that was a very old model though and i blame lantiq)
