It seems one effect of the periods of lockdown at the start of the decade has been a pivot away from eating out & the expansion of demand for high(er) quality meals for home consumption;
this has, of course, been part of the range of problems confronted by the hospitality sector, and capitalised on by both home delivery groups & supermarkets.
Like online shopping, eating at home is removing us gradually from more collective experiences... and making us more asocial?
