- Do you want to risk your life and make decent money? **Learn a trade**. Some are genuinely dangerous, but they'll pay better than the job that gets you actively shot at.
- Do you want money for university? **Get a pell grant and apply for scholarships and state grants**. Also, consider public in-state universities, they're often cheaper and the quality of education is not necessarily worse than more prestigious schools. The primary benefit to Ivy leagues is networking.
- Do you want to serve your country? **Get a public sector job**. There are plenty of services your country needs that don't involve shooting at brown people for billionaires.
- Do you want to travel the world? **Seek any career working on civilian aircraft or ships**. Alternatively, academics and businessmen often have to travel for work as well, although less frequently.
If you're a teenager and have been considering joining the military after graduating high school, don't!
