My experience has been amazing with nixos. I have a daily machine whose flake almost never changes and other machines which do crazy stuff. The daily machine is utterly rock solid. I even have a laptop running an rnode which has run continuously for 6 months without issue and this was never the case under ubuntu. nixos seems to be a dream. The reason, as I see it, is that nothing changes unless you tell it to.
