After the civil war in Syria, Türkiye has provided very significant assistance and has developed major capabilities.
Many Syrians still live in Türkiye, while some have returned home. From Türkiye’s perspective, the question of potential refugees that could come from Iran is also becoming an issue on the agenda.
We want to prevent such a situation from emerging. For this reason, we will seek very close cooperation with Türkiye on this matter. Europe will not remain a distant third party merely observing events from afar.
