People swear on the Bible and call it Christian. But they never sought to understand Christ. They put their hand on the Book and then build systems that crush the very people the Book was meant to set free.
Christ would have ensured it met all people's needs — not just the ones who looked like them or agreed with them. He fed the hungry. He healed the sick. He defended the oppressed. He didn't build a system that protected abusers and silenced survivors.
When you take up for a system and stand on lies that were fed to us — you're not standing on the grounds of Christ. You're standing under a system that claims to follow Christ while calling itself Christian. Because anyone who's true to the Word seeks the understanding of Christ — not something that goes by their own interpretation.
The Constitution was a procedural document, not a theological one. It set up machinery. The Declaration grounded things. We spent two centuries maintaining the building while quietly demolishing the foundation. Now the floors are sagging.
And here's what nobody wants to say: when you swear on the Bible and don't mean it — you've already lost. You're not binding yourself to truth. You're binding yourself to performance. And performance doesn't hold up when the system shakes.
Christ said His kingdom is not of this world. But He also said to render to Caesar what is Caesar's — and to God what is God's. And what bears God's image? Man does. So Caesar gets his coins back, and God gets Caesar.
You can't claim to follow Christ and then build a system that doesn't serve humanity. You can't claim to be Christian and then create laws that protect abusers. You can't claim to follow the Word and then interpret it however you want.
So if you want to build something that stands — build something that serves people. Build something that seeks understanding. Build something that doesn't just claim the name — but walks the walk.
Because when you stand before the Judge, He's not going to ask if you swore on the Bible. He's going to ask if you fed the hungry, clothed the naked, visited the prisoner, and defended the oppressed.
That's what Christ actually taught.
That's what's been missing.
That's what the oath was supposed to mean.
And here's the deeper truth they don't want you to see:
Scripture was never meant to be a weapon. It was never meant to be used to control, silence, or trap. It was meant to set people free — to show them who they are, whose they are, and how to walk in that truth.
When you misuse scripture because of a lack of understanding from Christ's view — you're not following Christ. You're following a version of Him you created to fit your agenda. And that version doesn't save anyone. It just keeps people trapped in a system that calls itself Christian while acting like the world.
Jesus didn't come to start a religion. He came to restore relationship. He didn't come to build an empire. He came to free the captives. He didn't come to make people obey. He came to make people whole.
So if you're going to swear on the Bible — swear with intention. Swear knowing who you're swearing to. Swear knowing that the words you speak are witnessed by the One who made you. And then follow through with action.
Because faith without works is dead. And an oath without meaning is just noise.
