So the cats & I have retreated to the front room. George represents my ADHD side, anxious but also wanting to know what’s going on out there. Fred represents my autistic side, happy to retreat to the front room while a team of tradies makes a racket outside.
My neurotypical (SARCASM) partner is doing & getting stuff done all at once after tears of not doing much maintenance. The handyman was going to start yesterday, but put it off until today. (Good Friday! I doubt these guys are getting holiday rates…)
The outdoor furniture has been shifted into the living room, the pot plants and other stuff into the garage, and the raised area of the deck has already been dismantled, prior to levelling it & leaving room for a site for a new heat pump HWS. Power tools have been used. Deck will be resurfaced another day.
Had no idea this was happening today.
After a cry in a small dark pantry, I’m now recovering from initial shock in the front room.
I will retreat to the park soon.
I think partner hired this guy because he reflected partner’s own ADHD. Partner has 3 speeds. Stopped, slow & frantic.
I was okay here, but now they’re on the balcony above where balcony railing needs to be replaced.
Effin hell.
