I can't speak for the rest of the Western world because each country has its own unique issues, but America's been headed down this path since about late 2015. One side has always wanted it to come to blows, they can't attack the argument so they've resorted to going for the person instead. And there's a ton of motherfuckers celebrating it. You can't co-exist when one half wants the other half dead.
