It sat in the open for five years, so if it were an inside job, that would mean they sat for five years with the knowledge that at any point, someone could steal the bitcoin, humiliate them, basically end their careers. Stupidest and most stressful way to attempt a heist ever.
Makes much more sense that it’s just one of the many vulnerabilities being found by AI now. Bad code, lazy even, not malicious.
